People busy preparing for another crop.
Health of the community good except for bad colds.
School progressing fine.
Rev. M. T. Pace preached at school house
Friday night, which was enjoyed.
Some of the boys attended the public meeting of the Aztces (sic) at Turkey Creek Saturday night.
We noticed Jno. W. Miller and several other good singers at the singing Sunday which was fine.

Bud Baker has lost his five months old baby which was buried Monday at Willow Springs.
Mrs. Hanna who has been very sick with fever is reported better.
The Farmer was at an Aztec speaking Saturday night at Turkey Creek school house and heard the principles of Aztecs explained
by Mr. Slaten.
The writer was at Malakog (sic) on Saturday evening. Town was all alive, the merchants all smiling and the farmers loading their
wagons with groceries and implements.A. S. Tanner
Our old cotton buyer and friend is afflicted with rheumatism.
I will ask all the farmers to pick some pretty dry days and fire the woods; it will make the range better, destroy ticks and thousands
of other insects. If you remember last spring grasshoppers came out of the woods. If the woods are not burnt more than they have
been those insects are going to give us trouble.
Hurry for better roads in some sort of way for they are bad now.
