Rome Notes
Jan. 2, 1910-health not so very good.
Everybody is preparing for a new crop but me and I am preparing
to.
It don't seem like we are going to have any more school.
The Shelton Brothers have started their new
mill.
Mr. Albert Leopard is buying hogs. I wonder if
there isn't a new cook in the bargain.
There was singing at Turkey Creek this afternoon. but dismissed
early to go to the burying of Mrs. Lue Garner.
She was buried at the Goodgame cemetery. She leaves a companion
and two stepsons.
Prof. R. N. Shelton visited Turkey Creek Sunday.
Also Jot Moon and Luther Boyd.

community is he is improving.
Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Rushing visited Mr.
Jim Meadows and family Sunday.
Mrs. Sallie Brooks visited Mrs. Meadows Sunday.
Mr. Jim Bell visited Mr. Houston Bell
and family during the holidays and many other friends of his. Mr.
Bell left for his home a few
days ago at Rising Star in Eastland Co.
Mr. Baker and family visited Rome Sunday.
Mr. John Hester is on a visit from Coleman
county.
Come on, you Beck's Chappel girls, come on with some good
letters. Why can't you write, Miss Florence Parmer.
