Pottowattomie

Pottowattomie, June 15. - We are enjoying the beautiful weather
we are having and the farmers of the community are gradually
making the troublesome grass die.

Miss Athelee Youngblood’s home here Saturday night and Sunday.

There is quite a deal of sickness in the community at the present time.
Mrs. Hanner is showing no improvement. Mrs. P. H. Youngblood has
been real ill but is able to be up again. Mr. Marlin Poole is also on the
sick list.

Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Foster are the proud parents of a fine boy.

Quite a number of Pottowattomie young people, also old folks,
attended the all day singing at Unity Sunday.

Our ball team played Malakoff Sunday, the score was three to
fifteen in favor of Pottowattomie. There is also to be a double-header
next Sunday afternoon, starting promptly at two o’clock on the
Pottowattomie baseball diamond. Our team is crossing bats
with the brick yard boys of Athens, and the Malakoff team.
Everyone come early.

Helen Miller, Athelee Youngblood and Bettie Jane Clampitte
were all visiting in the A. M. Miers home Sunday afternoon.
Clarence Foster and family were visitors in the W. W. Foster
home here Sunday.
