Mrs. J. B. Pinckard And Family Return To Henderson County

Mrs. J. B. Pinckard and family, who moved from here two years ago to the west, returned last night to make Henderson county their home. Mrs. Pinckard said they had been on the road from Brownfield since last Monday. She says she is glad to get back and that she is through with the West. She reports they made good crops there but the sand storms ruined their cotton and that it required four thousand pounds to get a bale, as it was necessary to screen the sand out after the cotton was ginned. This method damaged the staple to such an extent that they could get only five cents per pound for their cotton. Mrs. Pinckard plans to rent a farm close to Athens and says she intends to remain in this section.
