March 3-The weather is cool at this writing. The farmers are preparing their watermelon ground and getting ready to plant corn.

Mrs. R. J. Ball is confined to her bed.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Cox spent Sunday at the home of L. W. Tindel and went to the singing convention at Leagueville in the afternoon; reported fine singing.

The school is progressing nicely and everyone is hoping to get the same teachers another year.

Mrs. Geneva Watson of Rice spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Corley.

Mr. and Mrs. Simon Day are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mr. M. B. Day this week.

Prof. Turner spent the week-end with his parents.

Mason Day and Miss Maudie Alvis and Ed Vandergriff and Miss Susie Day spent Sunday afternoon at Miss Willie Howell’s.

Rev. W. W. Birchfield will preach at this place Saturday night Sunday and Sunday night. Everybody come.

Miss Gertie Flowers is visiting Miss Susie Day.

The singing at the church Saturday night was enjoyed by all who were present.
