Oakland, June 18- Everyone is busy in crops. They have about all the cotton chopped.
Edna Owens of Malakoff spent Monday with Zula Owens of this place.
Inez Patrick of Alba is visiting friends and relatives of this place.
Guy Pirtle spent the week-end with his sister, of this place, Mrs. A. E. Cliver.
G. W. Chesser of Walnut Creek spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Petty of this place.
Health is very good at this writing.
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Reese and children spent the week-end at Alba. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Reese's mother and nephew.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Racker and children spent the latter part of the week with Mrs. Racker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Selman of this place.
Rev. Allman filled his regular appointment here Sunday.
Quite a few from here attended the singing at Eustace Sunday. All report good singing.
The normal school will start here June 25th. J. W. Farrell is the teacher.
B. Y. P. U. and singing is progressing. Everyone remember and come to singing Thursday night and B. Y. P. U. Sunday night; also Sunday school Sunday morning.
