Mrs. W. W. Deen, who has been visiting relatives and friends in Athens,
left for Tyler today to visit her daughter.

Billie Dickerson was a visitor with friends in Tyler last week end.

C. O. Rodgers and Reuben Hutchenson were business visitors in Trinidad
today.

Mr. and Mrs. Grover Atchison drove to Dallas today to be at the bedside
of Mrs. Atchison;s sister who is ill.

Miss Crystal Turner was home for Malakoff for the week end.

Irvin Reid, mechanic, at Wood-Dickerson Motor Co., was absent from his
post last week on account of illness in his family who live at Mabank.

Kendress Miller who suffered and attack of flu, was able to return to his
home in Ft. Worth Sunday.

Clarence Lincecum, garage man, of Trinidad visited relatives in the city Sunday.

L. E. Cook has returned from an extended business trip to Clarksdale and
other points in Mississippi.

Bernard Henry of the K. Wolens Store spent Sunday in Corsicana with home folks.

Gordon Stover made his regular Sunday visit in the Liberty community,
Kaufman county, last Sunday.

Miss Rosabel Harris, who left last week for Portland, Oregon, writes to have the
Daily Review sent to her address.

Jno. W. Easterwood was in Frankston on business today.

C. C. Bateman is driving a new Nash Sedan, purchased through G. W. Layton,
local Nash dealer. They went to Dallas Saturday and drove the new car back.

Porter Luker of Murchison, was in the city on business today. He was an appreciated
caller at the Review office while here.

Term report cards will be given out next Tuesday afternoon, according to
announcement by Superintendent LeMay today. Parents are requested to
call for these cards from their children, examine them carefully and make
such notations on them as will be beneficial in improving the work of the student.

Jesse Garrett, merchant of Malakoff, was in the city today on business.

Mrs. R. L. Harper of Rice, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. J. Matthews.

The pottery making department of the Athens Pottery was reopened today after a
shut down of some time. The force has been engaged in making building tile of
which it has put out large quantities in the past several months.

A fire alarm was turned in Sunday afternoon from the Ruff Titsworth residence.
The fire was caused from burning soot that had collected in a flue. The flue burst
open permitting the fire to catch the woodwork in the ceiling. The fire was put out
before the fire truck arrived. The roof of the building was covered with snow,
which probably prevented a bad fire. There was only smell damage to the building.
