Sept. 14 -- Just thought I would write the dear old reliable
Review a few
lines this morning, but there are so many
good writers that send in news
from here. My letter is apt to fall
in that dredful waste basket.
Cotton crops are good in our community. Corn is sorry but
other crops peas,
potatoes, and peanuts are good. The
drouth is broken we have been blesed
with some good rains. There have been
so many cotton pickers in this section
for several weeeks, that the crop is being
gathered very fast. The gin is running
night and day.
R. W. Caldwell, the Chandler pastor preached for
us Sunday and Sunday night.
We one and all invite him back again.
The Baptist folks are planning to start buuilding a new church
within the next two weeks.
Our school will start the first of October.
Health is very good, Ira Boyd is improving some
we hear.
There is lots of visiting but I am too busy to name them
all. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Boyd
and son from Handley, Texas, spent Tuesday
night at the home of Frank Boyd.
There will be an Ice Cream supper at Martins Springs Sept. 19,
Saturday night
don't forget the date everybody come and
bring your pocket book well filled, for
we will have lots of good things to eat.
Well guess we better be going for this time. With best
wishes to the Review,
I am, as ever,
