Total Number of Marriage License Small For February
Although it is leap year the total number of marriage licenses
issued in a
single month by the county clerk dropped to a new low figure for
the month
of February just ended. As compared with an average of more than
twenty-five
licenses for former months only eighteen licenses were issued.
They were as follows:

Cullen Allen, Malakoff and Augie Meador.
Verney Rose Payne, Malakoff, and Thelma Louise Bailey.
J. W. A. Secil, Athens and Mildred Smith.
C. E. Trammell, Athens, route six and Imogene Hooper.
W. C. McGuffey, Athens and Sarah Hicks.
Willie Rasco, Eustace and Dora Burke.
James Adams, Jacksonville and Frankie Faye Ross.
Marvin Thompson, Eustace and Aggie Mae Abbott.
Aaron Mitchell, Malakoff and Maggie Bell.
Acy White, Athens, route three and Lillian Polk.
B. A. Floyd, LaRue and Blanche Griffith.
Victor C. Carney, Malakoff and Trula McAlister.
Larkin Allen, Malakoff, route 2 and Johnnie Ballard.
L. Martin, Poynor and Virginia Rivers.
Isaac Barton, Chandler, route 3 and Alice Carroll.
Shelton McCaleb, Athens and Vannahlou Pierce.
