Payne Springs

We all enjoyed a singing at Mr. Louis' Sunday evening. There was a large crowd of young people
present and I believe it was the best looking crowd I ever saw.
The school will be out in about three weeks. There are enough going to run three weeks I mean
75 or 80.

idea what he went for.
L. A. Bailey and N. V. Holland went to Eustace Saturday.
S. (Stephen) E. Mezzles had some pictures taken Sunday. He says he can make a card fence
cheaper that way thanhe can go to town and buy the wire.
Mr. Hunter has put in a nice line of groceries in his new store. We hope he will do a good business.
He is also our postmaster.
Mr. Cooper lost a fine horse a few days ago.
A stove agent came throught the countyr some time ago and several of our good farmers bought
themselves a good and everlasing stove.
Lum Phelan went to Trinidad Friday where he is going to make his future home.
I noticed in the REVIEW some very interesting letters from Clear Creek. Come again.
I am afraid we are going to lose Jim Southerlin for he is about to take up with Dry Creek.
Aden Pelham made a business trip to Malakoff Friday. he says he is not going any more
until the roads get better.
Mack Cooper has recovered his horse.
