E. W. Noble was a business visitor in Athens Sunday.
Floyd Smith of Dawson attended the funeral of A. S. Tanner
here Saturday afternoon.
J. M. Tanner was in Athens on business Monday.
Bob Cluck of Hubbard and Miss Sue Barron of Grosebeck
attended the funeral of A. S. Tanner here Saturday afternoon.
H. C. Riddlesperger spent Monday in Athens on business.
Willis Beaird was in Athens on business Monday.
Miss Hazel Tanner who is attending school at Georgetown
came in Friday to attend the funeral of her father A. S. Tanner.
Mrs. W. B. Parker returned to her home in Kerens Saturday
afternoon, following the funeral of A. S. Tanner.
Mrs. W. B. Payne, Jr., is reported to be very ill this week.
Mrs. Jno. W. Easterwood and children of Athens attended
the funeral of A. S. Tanner here Saturday .
Miss Mary Ann Gentry of Hubbard attended the funeral of her
uncle, A. S. Tanner here Saturday afternoon. She returned to
Hubbard Monday.
? L. Rogers of Acquilla was a business visitor in our city a few
days this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Peay and daughter Thelma, of Athens attended
the funeral of A. S. Tanner here Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Weir were business visitors in Dallas, the first
of the week.
A. S. Tanner, Jr., of Houston was in Friday night to attend the funeral
of his father, A. S. Tanner, which took place at the Malakoff Cemetery
Saturday afternoon. Jack as he is better known, states that he will
probably remain here until the first of March before returning to Houston.
