Mr. Joe Tiner and Miss
Jewel Cleveland were
united in marriage in the
presence of a few relatives and friends at the home of Rev. H. B. Laney
at 10:30 Saturday morning with Rev. Laney
officiating.
Mr. Tiner is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Tiner of Pine Grove and is well known here.
Miss Cleveland is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Cleveland of
Route 2. They will make their home in Pine Grove.
Miss Letha Reed of Dallas spent a few hours her Wednesday
with Mrs.
Claude Brownlow and other friends.
Will Faulk, F. E. Dodson, A. I.
Clay, Hosey Dobb, J. D. Maguire and
Dunn Roberts attended the Dallas-Ft. Worth game at
Dallas Tuesday.
Prof. Martin, Mesdames A.
L. Hart, Nettie Boyett,
Misses Callie
Johnson, Annie Pope Gilreath, Emma Laura Evans, Emma
Carson, Mr.
and Mrs. R. J. Horn are attending the Institute at Athens this
week.
Estey Baxter and mother, Mrs. Lila
Baxter and Miss Martha Adkins of
Dallas spent the week end here with G.
W. Urrey and wife.
Rev. D. R. Cartlidge filled his regular appointment at the
Baptist
Church both Sunday morning and night.
Miss Addie Mae Cartlidge and brother, John of Route 1 attended
Sunday School and church here Sunday.
