There was aparty Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Boles. Everyone present reported a nice time.

Mrs. W.T. Langham who spent the summer with her daughter in Dayton, Ohio has returned home.

Mrs. Jewel Douglas, Billie Ruth and Cecil of Woodlake are visiting relatives here.

Mrs. W.F. snelson and son, Billy Charles, of Fort Worth visited relatives here last week while they were here she received a telegram saying her husband had landed in the States.

J.W. Costlow, of the Merchant Marines is here on a leave.

Cpl. and Mrs. Brooks Costlow of Wichita Falls spent the weekend here.

Pvt. and Mrs. Fred Carter and children of Camp Hood visited relatives here.

Leuen M. Hallmark, F 1/c, of Fallon, Neveda, is at home on a 10 day emergency leave.  His mother, Mrs. L. Hallmark was very ill, but is doing fine now.  She is able to be out again.

T/5 Sgt. C. AQ. Corder who just returned from England and his wife of Fort Worth visited relatives here last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Durwood Tinner and children of Palestine are visiting in Henry Tinner's home.

Pfc. Beven H. Tinner who just returned from Germany is at home on a 30 day furlough.  His wife of Dallas is also here.

Mrs. Anthony Havins underwent an appendicitis operation at Nan Travis Hospital in Jacksonville last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Leuen Hallmark and Lavonne visited Alonzo Mills, Mrs. Jessie Evans, Mrs. Stella Miller and Mrs. Anthy Havens at Nan Travis Hopsital, Jacksonville, Sunday.

Havs H. Mills, ARM S/c, of Hutchinson, Kansas, who is here on an emergency leave was granted a five day extension to be at the bedside of his father, who is ill. His father has improved wonderfully.

Mr. and Mrs. Denton Harris of Dallas spent the weekend here.

S/Sgt. Buford Ford,  who just returned from the South Pacific is here on a 30 day furlough.  His wife of Fort Worth is also here visiting relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Felton Hill and daughter, Billie Louise Carter of Dallas visited in the A.P. Miller home.

Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Wilson and children of Beaumont visited here.

Sgt. Marlin Howard, who is here on a furlough, will leave Thursday for Miami, Florida.

Inez and Jozell Tarrant of Fort Worth visited their parents.

Mrs. Grover Williford, who is under the doctor's car in Dallas is improving.
