Brownsboro, June 4--Sgt. and Mrs. O. L. Hargis of Fort Sam
Houston spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs T.A.
Hargis.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Eberhart and Mrs. Estelle Libby and daughter,
Barbara Jean,
of Dallas spent the week end with their son and brother, Mr. and
Mrs. Nolan Eberhart.
Mr. and Mrs. George Hutto and children of Arp and Mr. and Mrs.
Clyde Harper
and children of Fort Worth were recent guests of their father,
Pete Farmer,
and other relatives here.
Miss Edith Martin of San Antonio spent a few days here last week
with relatives.
Miss Minnie Fay Norton of Corsicana was visiting Misses Audrey
and Dorothy
Tompkins during the week end.
Pfc. Boyce Cason of the William Beaumont General hospital in El
Paso, is
visiting his wife and daughter, Terry Ann.
Word was received here Sunday of the death of Mrs. Joe A.
Johnson, who
died in the Nan Travis hospital in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the local school faculty for several
years.
She has been living in Rusk for the past few years.
Mrs. Frank Blankinship and Mrs. Donald Gibbs of Wills Point spent
Thursday
with their daughter and sister, Mrs. Joe B. Stuart.
Mr. and Mrs. Moody Johns and son, Jerry, of Beaumont are guests
of relatives here.
I. A. Barton, accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. Shad McNeil and
children of Ben Wheeler
were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reagan in Trees, La., a few
days last week.
Pvt. Albert Tidwell, who is in the U.S. Army and stationed in
Georgia visited his
wife and daughter, Linda Moss, and other relatives here last
week.
Mrs. Ray Thomas and Misses Audrey and Dorothy Tompkins, Evelyn
Tindel
and Hazel Nell Horton and Quentin Watson will enroll for the
summer session
of TESTC in Commerce.
Miss Margaret Holiman, who has been a student at Lon Morris
College in
Jacksonville, has returned home to spend the summer with her
parents,
Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Holiman.
Mrs. H.D. Bass is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bledso in
Commerce.
The Baptist Workers Conference of Henderson County met here at
the Calvary
Baptist Chhurch Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rawson and children left last week for Wink to
make their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson McKinney of Fort Worth and Misses Marie and
Bobbie of Dallas
were recent guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Maxwell.
Mrs. Addie Geddie of Grand Saline is visiting in the home of her
daughter and family,
Rev. and Mrs. C. N. Tunnell.
Ralph Stuart left Wednesday for Inyokern, Calif., where he will
be employed.
Mrs. Nick Peeples and children left last week for Laruel, Miss.,
where they will join
Mr. Peeples to make their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wells and daughter, Miss Molly Sue, of Fort
Worth arrived
here Sunday to spend part of their vacation with Mr. and Mrs.
C.R. Watson and
Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Harrison.
