Beck's Chapel

Heath is very good.
J. H. Word is on the puny list. He said he got three of his ribs broken a few weeks ago.
Crops are looking fine; corn is laid by; cotton chopping is about over.
Say brother, some of your correspondents will keep saying they have the best crops in the county. They must leave that county part out and use community. Let three judges be appointed and let them go to each correspondent and let them show them the
best crops and let the judges say who has the best crops and the rest of us give the man that has the best crops a buggy. I want a buggy.
Miss Williams filled her appointment here last Sunday.
J. J. Willingham was around the Chapel last week. He was still laughing but we are going to see if we can't get him to cut it down to a smile. Sam Harbough has the worst case of blues I ever saw. He just can smile. He got a new dress last week and it don't fit him.
Your correspondent didn't show up last week. He got a new dressing put on him last week and his friends came in to see how it fit.
Your scribe will visit Center court next Saturday and will give a full write up.
