July 20 -- Mrs. O. Frizzell is with her son Mr. Hall Frizzell of Malakoff,
who is now in a sanitarium at Dallas.

Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Harrison and daughter of Athens were in our community
Sunday.

Mr. Walter Gouger of Frankston and Miss Willie Mae Putman of this
community were married in Athens last Monday afternoon. They are at
home in Frankston now. We wish them much happiness and prosperity.

Little Lila Lee Scruggs fell one day last week and knocked out two teeth.

Miss Cordia George and Evangeline Neely spent the latter part of last
week with the Misses McRae of Black Jack.

Bro. Manning of Waco filled the appointments of Bro. Winsor the pastor
here Saturday night and Sunday.

The Methodist revival will begin here next Sunday and the Baptist revival will
begin on Wednesday night before the third Sunday in August.

Marguerite Taylor went to Frankston Sunday afternoon and was accompanied
home by her cousin Mrs. Heidelburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Bud Tompkins and Bill Tompkins left Monday morning for Denver
and other points in Colo.

Mrs. J. G. McMilan and children of Seagoville are visiting her mother
Mrs. C. A. Corder here.

Everett Davis spent Sunday in Commerce with his wife who is in school there.

The melon shipping and peach picking will be over here in a very few days.
There have been nearly 60 cars of melons loaded here.

There was a cream supper at the home of F. J. Davis last Friday night.

GRAVE YARD WORKING
There will be a working at the Frizzell Grave Yard near Pine Grove on Friday,
July 24th. Everyone interested come early and help work the graves of our loved ones.
