"Fite Nite" Draws a Large Crowd
___________

Friday night at the Legion Hall was a decided success. The occasion was a sceduled eight round bout between Johnny Kilbane and Joe Black of Murchison.
The preliminary bout was between "Pea Vine" Boyd and Jim Bradshaw, consisting of three two minute rounds. The affair proved very entertaining. It was a snappy bout, ending in a draw.
As stated above, the main event bout was between Kilbane, of Barnes' farm near Trinidad and Joe Black of Murchison. This was to have been an eight round bout, but "Kid Killie" won the decision in the first round, Black going down for the count.
A return bout has been made between the two men for Friday night, November 9 th.
