Trinity Advocate Palestine, Anderson Co., Texas Feb. 23, 1859 ATHENS ACADEMY, MALE & FEMALE. The 5th session of the male and 2nd of the Female of the above Institute, located at Athens, Henderson county, Texas. Under charge of J. M. McDONALD, Prinipal (spelled as is) of the MALE DEPARTMENT. Mrs. S. X. DONNELL, Principal of the FEMALE DEPARTMENT, both Literary and Music, will commence on the 1st Monday in February, 1859, and continue five months. Rates of Tuition. FIRST CLASS -- Orthography, Reading, Writing, Mental Arithmetic and Primary Geography per session, - - - - - - - -$10 00. SECOND CLASS -- English Grammer, Practical Arithmetic, Geography, History and Elocution, per session, - - - - - - - - - $12 50. THIRD CLASS -- Latin, Greek, Higher Branches Mathematics, Natural Science, Rhetoric and Logic, - - - - - - - - - - - - $15 00. Music with the use of Instrument per session of five months, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - $25 00. Ornamental Branches, - - - - - - - - - - $15 00. Tuition due at the close of the session. No deduction will be made for lost time, except for protracted sickness. Board can be had in good, private families in town, for $8 00 per month. Scholars not subscribed, will be charged from the time of entrance, till the end of the session Feb. 9, 1859. |
