Ash, Oct. 20, -- As there has been no news from Ash in quite a
while I will try to give the news from here again.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Vandaveer, and Mrs. Jack
Carroway spent
Sunday afternoon in Cross Roads.
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Clay and Miss Mattie
Clay spent the
week-end with friends and relatives near Ash.
Miss Velma Lee Adair spent the week-end with
home folks at
Murchison.
Mrs. Lizzie Walters of Oklahoma an Mrs. Ben
Masters of
Dallas, who have been visiting in the home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tanner attended an all day
singing at
Payne Springs Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dean and family spent Sunday
with Mrs.
Fannie Hall of Sand Springs.
Reagan Tanner was painfully injured last Friday
when a pistol
accidentally discharged and shot him through the hand.
Rev. and Mrs. W. E. Hull of Eustace were in our
community
Monday.
Mrs. Bowman and baby are real sick at this
writing.
Mrs. Aubry Berryhill and son of Corsicana are
visiting Mr. B. A.
Berryhill.
A party of young people from Oakland visited friends at Ash
Friday night.
Mrs. William Pirtle and Mrs. J. B. Clay
of Malakoff visited
relatives here Monday.
Preaching at Phillips Chapel Sunday afternoon was attended
by a large crowd.
School is progressing nicely.
