Two Dwellings Burned
G. W. Argenrbight of old Malakoff lost his house and nearly all its contents by fire Friday
evening last. The fire originated about the closet around the stack chimney. He lost nearly
everything in the house, and had no insurance.

A Mr. Ferguson living a few miles north of town lost his residence and its contents by fire
last week. It is supposed to have caught by fire being carelessly handled by his children
who were alone at the house preparing dinner. He lost about everything he had including
all his meat put up for the years supply. We sympathize with these men in their losses.
