ATHENS, Oct 27. -- [Special.] -- The norther still holds on and a slight mist continues to fall.
One of our saloon men give a representative of the fourteenth amendment this contents of a bottle and justly, too, as the negro like many others in his neighborhood, are becoming to insolent.
Three brother-in-laws, good citizens, got into a fight on our streets yesterday, Jones, Reager, and Bradshaw. The sheriff stopped the stampede. These men must have forgotten themselves, and certainly made a mistake, for they are sensible men. No one seriously hurt.
