Rev. Locke Will Conduct Revival
The revival meeting will begin here on Saturday night, August 16.
The pastor Rev. A. C. Locke will be assisted by the REv. Walter Rippetoe of Dallas.
Mrs. T. W. Dunklin and son visited Mrs. A. L. Nichols last Sunday.
Mrs. George Hulsey of Purdon spent the week end with Mrs. H. Pool.
Mr .and Mrs. H. S. Arnett went to Bethel Saturday to visit the A. M. Smith family and others.
They were accompanied by Bethelby Sherry and David Green who had visited here the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Buck Scrobenec and sons of Houston spent the past two weeks here visiting Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Owen and Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Gideon.
Carolyn Terrell spent Sunday night with Louise Reagan.
Misses Wanda Beth Owen and Marilyn Sue Colley visited Mrs. Roy LaRue Sunday.
Miss Juanita Rounsavall spent the weekn end with Miss Joy Beth Dunklin.
Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Arnett attended the Arnett reunion in Trinidad Sunday.
Of the eleven brothers and sisters, ten were present, and a total of forty were in attendance.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Owen visited Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Owen in Athens Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Rounsavall and son of Athens visited Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Rounsavall and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Pool Sunday.
Christian Oleson Dies at Mabank
Christian Oleson, well known in Henderson County, died suddenly Saturday morning at 4 o'clock at his home in Mabank.
Mr. Oleson, in the insurance and real estate business, is survived by his wife.



Husband of Athens Woman Polo Victim
Word has been received in Athens that Capt. Gene H. Campbell, Carswell Air Force Base Officer, was stricken last week with polio and that he is now in Brooks General Hosptial at San Antonio.
His wife if the former Miss Evelyn Culbertson of Athens.
Mrs. Culbertson's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Culbertson, is a resident of Athens.
Capt. Campbell's condition was last reported as good.
