The Garland murder case was on trial in District Court.
The appointment of Prof. Owen as County Superintendent of education was confirmed by the Commissioners' court.
Rev. Gus Garrison went to Big Sandy today.
Judge T. B. Butler came over yesterday from Tyler to see his little daughter who was visiting Miss Francis Cain.
Gilbert Carothers and wife came in this morning. He has been suffering with typhoid fever.
Dave Broom and W. A. Sides made a trip to Galveston the first of the week.
Mrs. Homer Parson, who has been confined to her bed for the past four weeks with typhoid fever is reported much better.
Aunt Lucinda Owen returned this morning from a visit to her son, Davis in Navarro county.
W. R. Caldwell reports to the Review that damage to cotton has been great during the past week.
McDuff Larkin, rural mail carrier is taking his annual lay-off.
J. B. Wofford is having the boarding house east of the Cotton Belt put in fine order.
C. L. Murff has sold his racket store to J. A. Beall of Jacksonville.
Governor Campbell passed through the city.
