A full page advertisement featuring "Budweiser" adorns the back page of
this issue. Almost all the space is taken up with a picture of stock
house No. 10 of the Anheuser Busch Brewing Association. This huge
building is described as being 347 feet long 98 feet wide and seven
stories high, 200 mammoth "glass enameled" steel tanks used solely for
laagering (aging) of beer. Each glass tank weighs 16 tons, is 70 feet
ling, 9 feet in diameter and holds 1,000 barrels of beer. The capacity
of all the tanks in the building is given 62,000,000 bottles of
Budweiser.

Budweiser as the king of bottled beer in 1905 scored a sale of
137,722,150 bottles. The Association is the largest brewery in the
world. It covers 128 acres or more than 70 city blocks. Total storing
capacity 6,000 people.--"But them days is gone--."
Married at the residence of Rev. Youngblood Monday afternoon, Miss Lizzie
Pace to Mr. J. H. McDonald.

E. H. Scarborough was "reporter" for the Cottonwood local Farmers Union,
which at that time was strong in this county.

Synopsis of the District Court docket for the spring term shows a total
of fifty-four divorce cases and sixty-eight criminal cases.

Ronald McDonald had gone to Dallas Thursday.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Henry Thursday 13th inst, a boy

The jury list for the approaching term of District Court contained, among
many others the following names of present day citizens: W. T. Jenkins,

Frank Colton, Horace Barron, Joel Baker, Wm. Matthews, Joe Owen, C. R.

Bass, V. I. Stirman, Jno. W. Wood, J. J. Matthews, W. H. Coleman, W. F.
Knight, Jim Warren, Theo Turner, C. L. Cox, S. B. Boone, Knox Henderson,
W. F. Caldwell, I. A. Barton, J. M. Pinkerton, W. C. Maxwell, Dan Gentry.
H. Sigler, S. O. Weller, B. M. Roberts, R. J. Blackney, J. M. Royall, Tom
Boot, Turner Reynolds, Geo. B. Thompson, G. J. Eads, W. H. McCullch,
Cotus Dunklin, C. F. Regester, J. J. Terguson, Murray Anderson, H. C.
Scott, Ellis Williams. There were five weeks of the term.

Rev. M. T. Pace was one of the men who came to Henderson county "three
years ago," and had since bought a good little farm which he would soon
finish paying for.

The Athens Cotton Oil Mill would close down on the 25th according to
their formal announcement.

Married Sunday in Frankston at the residence of Jno. A. Spencer, brother
of the groom, Miss Lillie Freeman and Mr. C. A. Spencer. The bride is a
sister of Judge Freeman and Mrs. Joe Miller and is a most accomplished
and deserving young lady.

Mr. Spencer has a position with the Wofford-Murchison Co., having been
with that firm and its predecessor for the past seven years.
The couple returned to Athens "yesterday evening" and are boarding with
Mr. and Mrs. Andy Royall.

Among those announcing as candidates for office the names of the
following citizens appear: J. J. Terguson of Brownsboro for Coroner,
Precinct 3, A. C. Hart, Athens, Tax Collector, Thos. P. Faulk, Athens,
for city Attorney, Thos. B. Spencer, Athens, City Assessor and Collector.

Millard Stirman and Will Gilreath went to Stockard hunting yesterday.
Pink Kale was in town Monday.
