Five County Couples to Observe Golden Wedding Dates

Five Henderson county couples will observe Golden Wedding anniversaries during the year 1940, and a sixth
couple, Mr. and Mrs. G.S. Demoville of Malakoff will celebrate their 51st wedding date.
Mr. and Mrs. Demoville celebrated their 50th wedding date on last December 19th. She is the former Miss Cora Day.
Some research work by County Clerk Jack Owen disclosed the five Golden Wedding dates for this year.
The five couples and the dates on which they were married are as follows:
Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Deupree, Pine Grove community, January 31st, 1890. She is the former Miss A.E. Hollaway.
Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Tindle, New York community, January 22nd, 1890. Mrs. Tindle was Miss Gertrude Echols before her marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Adams, Athens, June 10th, 1890. She is the former Miss Nannie Webster.
Mr. and Mrs. George Dennis of north of Athens, July 6th, 1890. She is the former Miss Elva A.M. Roberson.
Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Dyer of Murchison, July 29th, 1890. Mrs. Dyer is the former Miss Mollie Owens.
