Cook Family Reunion Is Largely Attended

Athens, Texas, Aug 12 1933

August 6 the sixth annual reunion of the Cook family gathered at Brown Park on Trinity River in
Henderson County for another day of talking over old times. This generation of Cooks are direct
descendants of the late Uncle Marion Cook. There were ten children in the family reared to the age of maturity, eight of whom are still living, together with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There were also a number of Cooks, all nieces and nephews of Uncle Marion Cook, in attendance.
Uncle Steve Cook, 82, the oldest Cook now living was present and gave a very interesting talk.
There are many long-time friends of the Cook family who attend this reunion each year.
At the noon hour a bountiful lunchen was spread and enjoyed by all.
The afternoon was spent in reminiscences.
