Engagements Are Announced

Feb 8- Engagements of two local girls have been announced here this week. Miss Bobbie Wyatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Wyatt, and Marvin Williamson have announced their engagement. Marvin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Williamson of Horatio, Arkansas. Miss Wyatt is a graduate of Brownsboro High School and Tyler Junior College and is employed in Tyler at the Ideal Bakery. Mr. Williamson is a graduate of Horatio High School and Tyler Commercial College and spent four years in the U. S. Navy. He is presently employed in Dallas. The wedding date has not been set.
The latest engagegment is that of Miss Fayrene Herrington daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Herrington, and Leroy Chambers son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chambers of Brownsboro. Fayrene is a sophomore in Brownsboro High School. Leroy is a graduate of Brownsboro High and is now employed at the First State Bank in Brownsboro. The wedding date will be announced later.
Rev. C. B. Oliver was a dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Macon Carver Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Price Craig had as visitors Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Craig and son Jimmy, and Mrs. Jessie Adair of Murchison.
Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Clayton spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Clayton. Mrs. Clayton spent two days in Medical Center Hospital at Tyler last week having her teeth extracted. Mrs. Ida Granbery of Longview is staying in the home this week.
Visitors in the C. B. Wyatt home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hood of Tyler, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Brakebill and Marvin Williamson of Dallas,
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Herrington and children and Misses Joan Grant and Sylvia Featherston.
Mrs. Elbert Belcher and son, Buddy, Joan Barden and Mrs. Lucy Lawrence went to McKinney Sunday to see Elbert Belcher and report him to be doing fine. He probably will get to come home the latter part of the week.
Mrs. Lelia Hopson of Athens recently spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hopson.
Mrs. Aubrey Brakebill, the former Miss Gracie Wyatt, was surprised to see her picture on the front page of the Dallas Morning News last week, made while she and a group of others were waiting at a bus stop en route to work in the snowy weather.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Clayton visited Mrs. Darrell Clayton Monday. Walter did some work on the church. The congregation can always count on him to get the ways count on him to get the job done which everyone else seems to forget.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoston Poe and family went to Dallas Sunday to seek employment.
Mr. and Mrs. Homer Featherston spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Morman.
Mrs. Nadine Morman and Mrs. Peggy Clayton, who are attending school at Commerce, spent the week end at home.
Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Clayton and sons visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hood in Tyler Monday evening.
