Comments: By 1870 Susanah Carter Harrison Powell was married to William
R. Powell and was living in his household in the 1870 Census of Rusk Co.
TX. Her Harrison Children lived next door. On the 1880 Census she is
living with her children in Henderson Co. TX. where she is found on the
1900 Census. She and William R. Powell lived in that part of Rusk County,
TX that became part of Gregg County the year my Great Grandmother, Sarah
Elizabeth Grier was born. During the Seventies, the family sold out and
moved to Henderson County Tx where many members of Powell's family lived,
and where he died before 1880. In 1880, Susan Powell and her Harrison
Children sold the land she had bought from her father in Upshur County
Tx. She stated that she was living in Rock Hill  in Henderson Co. TX.
