Comments: Isaac and Martha POWELL lived in Van Zandt Co. Texas, in 1870,
the year they were married.  They had a Canton Post Office address and
lived with William POWELL and his wife, Mahale.  William POWELL was
probably Isaac's brother.  Isaac was a farm hand.
In 1880, Isaac and Martha POWELL were living in Van Zandt Co. Texas, in
Justice Precinct 2.  He owned his own farm.
By 1900 Isaac and Martha POWELL are living in Henderson Co., TX, and own
their own farm.
Family lore:  Isaac POWELL was Dutch.  His daughter, Ida Lee POWELL,
always told her daughter, Ida Jane BRYANT, that she was Black Dutch and
Indian.
