Leopard 22 May 1892 - 18 Jan 1964 PVT 5 CO Development BN WW I Obituary of M. E. Barr One of County's Oldest Citizens Claimed by Death Mrs. M. E. Barr, 87, one of Henderson County's oldest citizens died at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Trammell, in the Hollywood community. She had been ill for several weeks. Her death was attributed to senility and influenza. Funeral services were held this afternoon with interment following in the Willow Springs cemetery. The deceased and her husband, the late P. C. Barr who died in 1921, came to Henderson county many years ago from Franklin county. Mr. Barr had served with distinction in the Confederate Army during the Cival War. Mrs. Barr is survived by a number of children and grandchildren.
