History of the Cemetery

Subj: Veterans in Terrell Family Cemetery
Dear Ms. Kees,
I have been browsing the Terrell Family Cemetery information on the Henderson County Genweb site.
I would like very much for my father to be listed with the veteran's list.
He was Douglas Charles Terrell. He served with the United States Navy
on Siapan in World War 11. He now has a plaque on his grave with this
information. He died November 3, 2000. He was one of the founders of
the Terrell Family Cemetery.
Following is a history of Terrell Family Cemetery:
The Terrell Family Cemetery is located on Farm Market Road 4204 between
Chandler and Brownsboro, Texas. It is located adjacent to the Rock Hill Cemetery.
Terrell Cemetery is a private cemetery, and owned by the family. It is located on
the farm previously owned by Eugene Matthew and Mary Nowlin Terrell, now
deceased, that shared the property line with Rock Hill Cemetery. They are buried
in the Rock Hill Cemetery. Their immediate family established the Terrell Family
Cemetery in 1976. One of their children is my father, Douglas Charles Terrell, who
died November 3, 2000. The first burial in the Cemetery, 1976, was Wanda Beth
Cotten Terrell, wife of Thomas Wade Terrell, another son of Eugene Terrell.

Sincerely
Betty Terrell Owens
