Aged Citizen Of Rome Community Buried Sunday Afternoon.
Funeral services for S. M. Moody, 87 long time citizen of the Rome community, were held Sunday
afternoon with burial at the Rome cemetery. Services were conducted by Dr. L.D. Rose.
Deceased had been ill for sometime.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. A.P. Maddox and a son, Guy Moody of Taylor, Texas.
Born in Alabama, Mr. Moody came to Texas early in life and had been a citizen of the Rome
community for many years.
*NOTE. S. M. Moody was Samuel Moody who married Martha "Mattie" Boyd after Thomas Fuller died.
After a long period of looking for Mr. Moody's grave and with the help of the plot map from
Rome cemetery I found out that Mr. Moody is buried next to my grandpa John Fuller.
All of these years his grave has been unmarked. I have marked his grave with a homemade marker.
