Willie Boyd

Graveside services for Willie Boyd, 98, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rome Cemetery with the Rev. Vince Smith officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home.

Mrs. Boyd died Sept. 21, 2002, in Athens.

She was born Nov. 16, 1903, in Henderson County to Mr. and Mrs. Buck Riddlesperger. She was a homemaker and a member of Willow Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert C. Boyd; brother, Allen Riddlesperger; sister, Dickie Tally; son, Jerry Boyd; and grandson, Douglas Boyd.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, James C. and Castione Boyd of Abilene, and Elton A. and Patsy Ruth Boyd of Athens; five grandchildren, Patsy Ann Laub of Oklahoma, Jimmie Wayne Boyd of Abilene, Alan Boyd of Tomball, Donald A. Boyd and Kenneth C. Boyd, both of Fairfield; sister, Nora Stringer of Tomball.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
