Viola Hester Boyd 

Services for Viola Hester Boyd, 93, of Lufkin and formerly of Athens, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at the Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Irvin Mills officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Rome Cemetery. 

Mrs. Boyd died, Thursday, July 2, 1999, in Lufkin. 

She was born Jan. 29, 1905, in Athens to J.T. and Rose Baker Hester. 

Mrs. boyd was a Baptist by faith and a homemaker. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.M. Boyd, and two sisters, Ruby Tinkle and Alva Carrigan. 

She is survived by one sister, Nellie Fuller of Lufkin, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6-8 p.m.
