Elton Allen Boyd
Graveside services for Elton Allen Boyd, 77, of Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Rome Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Dean officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Boyd died July 15, 2003, in Athens.
He was born June 16, 1926, in Lamesa to Elbert and Willie Riddlesperger Boyd. 
Mr. Boyd served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked in the oil industry as a technician. He was on the board of directors of the Athens Fish and Game Club. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a resident of Athens for 17 years. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry K. Boyd.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Patsy Ruth Trammell Boyd of Athens; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Stacie Boyd and Kenneth and Becky Boyd, all of Fairfield; brother, James C. Boyd of Abilene; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
