Wabbington Jr., Petrolia   

 MARSHALL -- Sservices for Petrolia Wabbington Jr., 65, of 
Hallsville, will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2006, 
at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with Superintendent Nelson Gatlin 
officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery in 
Hallsville, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Mr. 
Wabbington died Sunday, February 12, 2006, at his home. He 
was born October 15, 1940, in Hallsville, to Petrolia 
Wabbington Sr. and Marie Bush Wabbington. A lifetime area 
resident, he was a member of Rollins Grove Church of God in 
Christ. He is survived by one daughter, Laniece Helen 
Wabbington Smith of Houston; one son, Mac Daniel Wabbington 
of Houston; two grandchildren and a number of 
great-grandchildren; five sisters, Rosie Moore of Marshall, 
Helen Cooks of Longview, and Irene Hatcher, Rena Mitchell, 
and Nelva Garrett, all of Lovington, N.M.; one brother, 
Tommy Lee Wabbington of Hallsville; and other relatives and 
friends.
