Sifrit, Don William   	

Graveside services for Don William Sifrit, 80, of Longview, will 
be at 3 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2007, at Memory Park Cemetery, with 
Bishop Jim Johnson officiating.

Mr. Sifrit passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2007, at a local medical 
center.

Mr. Sifrit was born February 15, 1927, in Boone, Iowa, to Elmer M. 
and Ruby Ellen Cunningham Sifrit. He was a member of the Church of 
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was active in Longview 
Citizens On Patrol, District B. He was very artistic and worked as 
a carpenter. He enjoyed building things. Mr. Sifrit worked in 
security at Axelson for 33 years and was very active in the Boy 
Scouts Of America.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Minerva, on December 1, 
1981.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Jo Ann Sifrit of Longview, 
whom he married on October 1, 1988; son, Daniel William Sifrit of 
Dallas; brothers, Edward Blaskey and Harold Blaskey, both of Iowa; 
sister-in-law, Cindy Diamond of Hallsville; and nephew, Tim Ford of 
Kilgore.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening, May 
17, 2007, at the funeral home.
