Pruitt, Jack B. 

MARSHALL -- Services for Jack B. Pruitt, 79, of Marshall, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, 
May 20, 2006, at Downs Funeral Home Chapel, 4608 Elysian Fields Road in Marshall, 
with the Rev. Virgil Lamastus officiating. Interment, with full military honors, 
will follow in Walnut Springs Cemetery of Panola County. Mr. Pruitt died May 17, 
2006, in Marshall. Born February 27, 1926, in Beckville, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, 
having served during World War II and Korea, and retired from the Texas State Highway 
Department. Survivors include his wife, Lla Belle Briggs Pruitt; sons, Jerry G. Pruitt 
and Johnny L. Pruitt; daughter, Teresa W. Phillips; and sisters, Joy Pruitt and Jo Ann 
Lamastus. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online sympathies may
