Porter, Col. Donald 

MARSHALL -- Services for Col. Donald Porter, 68, of Marshall, will be 9 a.m. Saturday, 
February 11, 2006, at Downs Funeral Home Chapel, 4608 Elysian Fields Road, with Father 
Denzil Vitanage officiating. Interment will be 3 p.m. in Kaufman Cemetery of Kaufman. 
Col. Porter died February 8, 2006, in Longview. Born in Sacramento, Calif., he was a 
retired major from the U.S. Army, lieutenant colonel from Texas State Guard and Army 
reserves, and school teacher. Survivors include his daughters, Cassidy Cheyenne Porter 
and Shannon Cody Porter.
