Phelps, Charles Freeman

MARSHALL - Services for Charles Freeman Phelps, 77, of Marshall, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, 
July 27, 2007, at Downs Funeral Home Chapel, with Bob Bryant officiating and Charles Etheridge 
providing Masonic rites. Masonic graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007, 
at Ridgeview Memorial Park in McKinney, with Rick Long officiating, under the auspices of 
Marshall Masonic Lodge No. 22. Mr. Phelps died July 24, 2007, in Longview.

Born July 24, 1930, in Wylie, he was past Master of Masonic Lodge No. 22 and active member of 
Sharon Shrine and Cypress Valley Bible Church. Survivors include his wife, Sybil Foley Phelps; 
sons, James Lloyd Phelps, Charles Steven Phelps, Larry Dale Phelps, Gary Jonas Arthur and 
Frankie Lynn Arthur; and brother, Bill Phelps. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the 
funeral home.
