MARSHALL -- Graveside services for Jody Martin, 58, of Karnack, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, 
August 23, 2006, at Deadwood Cemetery in Panola County. The procession will leave Downs 
Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. Mr. Martin died August 20, 2006, at his residence. Born August 12, 
1948, in Knoxville, Tenn., he served in the U.S. Army, was a welder-fitter in the construction 
industry and a member of the Yonkers Police Benevolent Association. Survivors include his wife, 
Gayle Winfrey Martin; daughters, Dennine Smiddy and Karilyn Crawford Martin; and sons, Nathan 
Martin and Thomas Adrian, Mark and Mike Rose. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, August 22,
