Richard Nixon at Gregg
County Airport |
Campaign visit to Gregg
Co. airport by Vice-president Richard Nixon. Most likely this
was 1952...because of the other photos with which it has been
kept all these years. However, if not, it would have been the
1956 campaign. Below the left edge of the US flag is Pat Nixon.
The gentleman with the wavy black hair nearest Mrs. Nixon and
under the flag is my father, Dr. W. Morris Ford. I do also
know that the gentleman barely visible to Daddy's left was Bill
Steiger who later became Judge Bill Steiger of Tyler. He was a
Longview resident at that time. |
Our thanks go to David
Ford for this wonderful picture. |
