Cremation arrangements for Richard Ellsworth Vernon, 71, of Longview, are 
under the direction of Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Vernon died December 14, 
2007, in Shreveport, La.

Born August 29, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a veteran, longtime 
resident of Longview and member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include 
his mother, Jennie Adams.
