Smith, Evelyn

Evelyn Smith, 84, of Mountain View, Arkansas, was born December 23, 1922, in Emerson, 
Arkansas, to Coy and Retha (McCamon) Hooks and entered into rest on August 23, 2007, 
at Mountain Home, Arkansas. 

She was a member of Foothills Baptist Church and was employed as a secretary with 
Muckleroy Construction Co. in White Oak for 14 years. She was a devoted homemaker, 
mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Pepper and husband, Kenneth, of Mount Olive; 
seven grandchildren, Tim Smith, Casey Smith, Trevor Smith, Breezy Smith, Kirby Pepper, 
and Rhonda Crump and Julie Springer; four great- grandchildren, Dalton Springer, Eli 
Springer, Nicole Pepper and Cooper Smith; and a host of relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas William Smith, and her son, Larry 
Smith. 

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Monday, August 27, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with 
Bro. Prentis McGee officiating with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
