Simpson, Daniel Lee 


A celebration of the life of Daniel Lee Simpson, 31, of Longview, will be 10 
a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006, at Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, 
with the Rev. Travis Houston and Brother Ted White officiating. Burial will 
be in Tatum Cemetery. Mr. Simpson died Friday. He was born December 5, 1974, 
in Longview, to Mitchell Lee and Della Simpson, was a lifetime Longview 
resident and was a member of Tatum Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in 
death by his brother, Bobby Simpson; and grandfathers, Rex Simpson and Joe 
Gibson. Mr. Simpson is survived by his father and wife, Mitchell and Kathy 
Simpson of Tatum; mother and husband, Della and Brett Modisette of Grand 
Prairie; sisters, Ashley Lynn and Susanna Leigh Simpson of Tatum; 
grandmothers, Dorothy Gibson of Henderson, and Mary Sue Grisham of Tatum; 
great-aunt, Charleene Hitt; aunt, Connie Simpson; uncles, Kelly, Mike and 
Marjay Simpson, and Joe Gibson; nieces, Maggie and Kennedy; and numerous 
cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. 
today. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation. An online registry
