Pedigo, Joe Ann 


Joe Ann Grothe Pedigo, 67, of Longview, passed away July 3, 2006, at Good 
Shepherd Medical Center. She was born May 10, 1939, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, 
to George A. and Mamie Jo Tuck Grothe. On September 4, 1954, she married 
her husband Clarence Pedigo in Tokyo, Japan. Both she and Clarence were 
from small towns in Oklahoma, and they met in Tokyo while Clarence was 
stationed there with the U.S. military as was her family. She retired from 
Good Shepherd Medical Center after 22 years as a nurse who was honored and 
loved by her co-workers. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her 
beloved Grandmaw Tuck. She is survived by her husband of 52 years whom she 
loved dearly, Clarence Pedigo of Longview; one son, Antonio Pedigo and his 
wife, Rita, of Arkansas; two daughters, Debra Lewis and her husband, Fred, 
of Keller, and Jo Leah Foster and her husband, Patrick, of Longview; one 
brother, Johnny Ross Grothe; two sisters, Laura Vandermeer and Patricia King; 
five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held 10 
a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. Burial 
will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family requests, in lieu of 
flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society. The 
family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, July 5, 2006,
