Newby, Jerald Q.   	 

Memorial services for Jerald Q. Newby, 72, of Longview, will be scheduled 
at a later date. Mr. Newby died Monday, June 25, 2007, at a local nursing 
facility.

Mr. Newby was born September 2, 1934, in Oklahoma, to Hollis Milford and 
Annie Mae Barnette Newby.

Mr. Newby is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Newby; sons and 
daughters-in-law, Jerald and Kimberly Newby of Longview, Andrew and Amy 
Newby of Caddo Mills and Burton and Cora Newby, also of Caddo Mills; 
daughters and sons-in-law, Patty Jo and Billy Pledger of Wheat Ridge, 
Colorado, Nova and D.J. Stapleton of Caddo Mills; brother and sister-in-
law, Larry Dean and Samantha Newby of Dallas; and special daughter, 
Shirley and her husband, Robert Shaw of Gilmer.
