Nelson, Bobby "California" 


Services for Bobby "California" Nelson, 37, of Longview, will be 4 p.m. Monday, 
June 5, 2006, in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, with Larry "CC" 
Gower officiating. Mr. Nelson passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006. Mr. Nelson was 
born September 6, 1968, in Castro Valley, California, to Clyde Richard and Frances 
Helen Renard Nelson. He worked for LaBay Painting as a commercial painter. He was 
very athletic and enjoyed playing many sports. Mr. Nelson served in the U.S. Army 
as an Airborne Ranger. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and 
spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Samantha Nelson of 
Longview; daughters, Nicole Nelson, Jessica Nelson, and Shay Weatherred, all of 
Longview; mother, Frances Nelson of Volcano, California; brothers, Richard Nelson 
and Billy Nelson, both of Sacramento, California; and sister, Kathy Pritchard of 
Nevada City, California. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. today, June 4, 2006, at the
