Miles, Lorene

KILGORE - Funeral services for Lorene Miles, 89, of Kilgore, will be held at 10 a.m. 
Monday, October 29, 2007, at First Assembly of God Church of Kilgore, with the Reverend 
Brian Nutt and Chaplain Richard Pruitt of Southern Care Hospice officiating. Burial 
will follow in Overton Cemetery.

Mrs. Miles passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2007, in Longview.

She was born April 28, 1918, in Clay County, the daughter of Rayburn and Bertha 
McCameron, who preceded her in death. Lorene Miles was a member of First Assembly of 
God Church in Kilgore, where she was the nursery attendant for many years. Mrs. Miles 
worked as a P.B.X. operator at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and did alterations at 
her home.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Delray Miles; son, Wendell Miles; two 
granddaughters; two brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Carmen Dorris of Overton, and Norma Hardie and 
husband, Harold of Longview; sons, Bobby Miles and wife, Millie of Lone Oak, and 
Derrell Miles and wife, Gayle of Grove, Oklahoma; sisters, Judy Silvertooth of 
Kilgore, and Emogene Adamson of Longview; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren 
and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 911 W. Loop 291 Ste. 
101 Longview, TX 75604; or Women Ministry at Kilgore First Assembly of God Church, 
308 E. Kay St., Kilgore, TX 75662.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2007, at 
the funeral home.
