Moore, Jo Ann "Josie"   	

Josie was born November 27, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama, to John and Vivian Moore.

She passed away on July 12, 2007, at her mother's home, following a brief illness.

Jo Ann was a 1969 graduate of Roseville High School in California. Prior to that 
time, she had traveled with her parents and lived in Alabama, Virginia, California 
and Paris, France. While there, her family enjoyed traveling through Europe in a 
small Volkswagen.

She attended Sacramento State College and later graduated from Stephen F. Austin 
State University in 1973.

Jo Ann worked for Austin Construction before retiring to Longview to be near her 
parents. She worked for a short time for the Longview News-Journal.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father, Colonel John T. Moore, on July 31, 
2006.

She is survived by her mother, Vivian Moore of Longview; sister, Vicki Moore Ferns 
and husband, Ron of Sacramento, California; nephews, Kevin Ferns and wife, Krista 
of Sacramento, California, and Curtis Ferns and wife, Jenniffer; and great-nephew 
and nieces, Alex, Kate and Riley Ferns of Elk Grove, California.

We, her family, believes that she was too young to leave us and will be greatly 
missed every day.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007, at Lakeview Funeral 
Home. The Reverend Carol Petty of Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate.
